How can I Help?

LFPPC Family

We’re looking for a few good people to jump in and help with some hands-on projects around the church.
If you’ve been looking for a way to get more connected, serve in a practical way, or just work alongside a great group of others, this is a solid opportunity.
There are a variety of roles available depending on your skills, interests, and availability—just ask! Whether you’re experienced or simply willing to learn, there’s a place for you.
If you’re interested in helping with the immediate project or want to learn more about joining the team, please reach out. We’d love to get you involved.

Inside Projects

Light bulb replacement: We have a light out in one of the hanging pendants in the sanctuary. Replacing it will require 2-3 people, one of whom is willing and able to get on a high ladder and hold the telescoping pole that helps remove and replace light bulbs.

Kitchen deep clean: a wonderful group of volunteers have been diligently reorganizing the kitchen and it has become apparent that it is in need of a deep clean. This could be a group work party or just a single person willing to give of their time here and there to do some cleaning.

Outside Projects

-Cut back tulips and daffodils

-Spread wood chips:  along 178th under classroom windows, courtyard, etc.

-Cut back ferns

-Fertilize hydrangeas, rhododendrons (NOT Barberry shrubs)

-Plant Bluebells

-Clean up handicapped parking areas

-Thin out courtyard gardens, pruning and digging

-General weeding: Arnold garden, courtyard, office area

-Blow off sidewalks on Saturdays in preparation for Sunday

-Clean up after ivy and barberry trimming/pruning

-Help with watering (This is done 3 times weekly during the summer.  We have teams doing 2 days, but need a 3rd team)

-WEEKLY Mowing- about an hour a week (could be more than one person)

Sign Installation: We have a beautiful new wood sign for the properties corner (to replace the one that was hit with a car) and are in need of 2-3 people who are willing to install it where the old one was at the crossroad of Brookside and 178th.

If you can help with any of these outside projects please contact Stacie Johnson stacie.johnson@lfppc.org
