Through being an integral element of each worship service, we offer our talents to enhance the corporate and personal worship experience for all through our musical praise of God.

Musical Ensembles

For Singers

Chancel Choir -35 voice adult choir, all styles of music from renaissance to contemporary, usually 4-8 part singing. Sunday morning worship services, festival Sunday performances, concerts, special events. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings 7-9PM; Sunday AM warm-up is generally 10:30-10:50. Infrequent extra rehearsals as needed; counts as community service for high school musicians; directed by Butch Zwicki.

Women's Chorus -all women of the Chancel Choir; occasionally sharing during Sunday morning anthem or special music; rehearsal schedule corresponds with Chancel Choir reharsals; directed by Butch Zwicki.

Men's Chorus -all tenors and basses of the Chancel Choir; occasionally sharing during Sunday morning anthem or special music; rehearsal schedule corresponds with Chancel Choir rehearsals; directed by Butch Zwicki.

Worship Team -(11:00 Worship) 3 to 4 musicians and singers who enjoy a leadership role in the Sunday morning 11:00 worship service; singing is always "close-mic" in nature; leaders lead in praise choruses, hymns, and occasionally share in special music or anthems. Rehearsal is accomplished primarily individually and in conjuction with Chancel Choir rehearsals on Thursday evenings.

Joyful Noise -for children of strong musical ability for singing and movement, from the Prayer and Praises Choir. Music of all styles, mostly contemporary composers; frequent sharing during Sunday morning worship services, festival Sundays, special events, and occasional outreach performances. Most performances are accompanied by piano or cd. Rehearsals are 10:30-11:00 Sunday morning. Occasional additional rehearsals. Directed by Cheryl Heffner.

T.L.C -for youth middle-school or junior high age. Mostly contemporoary songs are accompanied by piano and sometimes by a band. Part singing has become normal for this choir under the direction of Cheryl Heffner. Rehearsal is 10:30-11:00 on Sunday mornings, with occasional additional rehearsals.

For Instrumentalists

Worship Band - serves as leadership for 9:30AM worship. Primary repertoire is from contemporary Christian artists and bands. The desire to improvise or learn to improvise is essential for survival in this group. Fast-paced weekly rehearsals are Tuesdays 7:00-8:30PM. Warm-up and runthroughs are 8:30 - 9:15 Sunday mornings. Directed by Butch Zwicki.

Brass Ensemble -experienced brass players who enjoy playing music especially written for brass instruments, and hymns. They occasionally perform with the Chancel Choir and organ, on festival Sundays, and special events, and weekly during the advent season. This ensemble is self-rehearsed. Counts as community service for high school musicians. Coordinated by Duncan Turner.

Small Groups -an assortment of groups offer a wide variety of special music for many Sunday morning worship services, festival Sundays, special events. Rehearsals are set up individually with the singers and accompaniment. Coordinated by Butch Zwicki.
